Dragon Time for the Dragon Lady

I’m a DRAGON LADY today

In the morning when I reached office, I made several phone calls to get updates for a project, and also chased for things to be done. My colleague (a gentleman), texted me after we finished a call “Steffie, did something happened? You sound quite upset and moody over the phone”

That caught me by surprise. I am not upset or moody. Oh well, I do have this dull pain in my tummy that I’m trying to ignore. I am constantly worried that it may overflow, and I stain my dress and my office chair. My tummy feels bloated. I feel fat and ugly. While I don’t think I am upset or moody, but subconsciously I may be bugged by all these and it’s showing in my behavior.

I itovi-scanned myself, and DRAGON TIME is one of the essential oils that appeared in my results. Not a big surprise. Itovi scan can be so eerily accurate. Unfortunately I didnt have Dragon Time with me at work today, so my poor colleagues have to bear with me for the rest of the day.

Self Love ❤️

A woman plays multi-roles; a mother, a wife, a daughter, a sister, a housekeeper, and for women who are working, an employee, a boss or even a entrepreneur.

So often I hear girlfriend sharing how exhausted they are, and yet they can’t rest because of their various responsibilities. We give up our needs so we could provide for others.

If I rest, my children won’t have home cooked dinner.
If I take a break, I feel guilty towards my colleagues.
If I go meet my girlfriends, I feel bad my husband has to take care of the kids himself.

Get your skin Valentine Day ready with ART Skincare series!

 

Finally I have the complete collection of ART Skincare products. The newest addition to the collection is the ART Renewal Serum. I wonder why I waited so long to buy it.

 

Let me do a quick run through on how to use them

We have the ART Gentle Cleanser, ART Refreshing Toner, ART Renewal Serum, ART Light Moisturizer and ART Crème Masque.

 

Step 1: ART Gentle Cleanser

Cleansing is the first step to healthier skin. Always use a gentle cleanser that will clean your face of dirt and makeup without stripping your skin of its natural oils.

ART Gentle Cleanser is effective enough to remove the light makeup from my face, but I still see residual eye makeup. I will recommend using V-6 on a cotton pad to wipe off your eye makeup before using ART Gentle Cleanser to thoroughly remove all makeup.

Wet your hands, take 1-2 pumps of the Gentle Cleanser and massage all over your face and neck in circular motion. Rinse with warm water. For both day & night.

 

Step 2: ART Refreshing Toner

The facial toner is one of the most often skipped step in our skincare. (Oops, I’m guilty of that too.)  Facial Toner helps to balance our skin PH, remove residual dirt and cleanser from our skin, shrink our pores and refreshes our skin.

After washing your face with ART Gentle Cleanser. Dampen a cotton ball with the ART Refreshing Toner, gentle swipe it all over your face and neck. For both day & night.

 

Step 3: ART Renewal Serum

Serums have smaller molecules that can penetrate deeply into the skin. Serums should be used before moisturizers, because moisturizers are generally richer and create a barrier on top of the skin to keep all the good stuff in.

Serums also tend to be pricier, because they are super concentrated and potent.

Apply the ART Renewal Serum on delicate area of face twice daily, gently pat your face to help with absorption. For both day & night.

 

Step 4: ART Light Moisturizer

Moisturizers form a hydrating barrier on the skin to lock moisture and other beneficial ingredients into the skin and protect our skin from environmental attacks.

ART Light Moisturizer helps to reduce skin aging, even skin tone and improve skin elasticity.

Massage the ART Light Moisturizer on your face after using the toner and serum. For both day & night.

 

Step 5: ART Crème Masque

ART Crème Masque is formulated to deeply moisturize the skin. The directions on the packaging say apply evenly on face, leave it on for 20 minutes and remove with moist towel. I prefer to use it like an overnight sleep mask. I will apply even on my face and neck at night, and only remove it the next morning. This is my favorite skincare product at the moment, it makes my skin smoother and softer. Even the skin on my fingers (that I use to apply the crème masque) feels smoother and softer.

I only use ART Crème Masque at night.

I celebrated New Year Day with the family over lots of good food and some good wine. After coming home, the hubby and I enjoyed some Rose Liqueur that my bestie gifted me for my birthday.

No Pain & No Stink!

Oh Yes! I survived the last day of this workweek, and is heading for a full body massage now!

My shoulder and neck have been giving me some grief for days! If you read my earlier posts, I have been applying Basil and Marjoram to help relax the muscles and relieve the discomfort. One morning, my hubby commented, “why do you apply that oils? you smell like a grumpy old woman.” HMPH! Major unhappiness! Major Frown! Hubby is still alive because I need him to do #RDT on my shoulders every night.

I checked the EO app, and there’s a protocol that calls for 1 drop of Palo Santo and 1 drop of Frankincense to relieve muscle discomfort. The EO app calls this protocol a ‘discomfort’ killer! So I have been applying this blend on my shoulder and neck, follow by Copaiba throughout the day.

I’ve been applying Frankincense on my face and applying Palo Santo on my knee daily every morning, hence quite sure applying these won’t make me smell like a grumpy old woman.

Copaiba’s scent is sweet and very mild. Other than relieving muscle discomfort, it helps to magnify the effects of the oils applied before it.

Itovi is my new BFF…

I think my Itovi scanner knows me better than Steffie does. Which is sad, I only own an Itovi scanner for a few months while Steffie knows me for all my life.

What an Itovi Scanner? It’s a small device that you hold on for 1-2 minutes and it will read your body electromagnetic fields. After that it will generate a report with a number and a few Young Living products that your body needs. Generally, the lower the number, the better it is.

So, I’ve been having a lot of uncertainties in my work life for the past few months. In short, I lost my direction and purpose. I feel extremely lost and frustrated. There are some days when I feel more positive and some days when I feel more negative.

Interestingly, my Itovi results do give me an indication of my emotional health. My latest Itovi scan has the following oils, Awaken, Envision, Gratitude and Acceptance. Steffie-Skincare-Secrets-Series Part 6

I just got to talk about my newest skincare product that I absolutely love! How can wait soooo long before finally getting a tub of this to use on my face! THE ART CREME MASQUE!

The first night I used the ART Creme Masque, I applied a thin layer of it all over my face and neck. The creme is absorbed almost immediately, and my fingers feel silky smooth too. So after 20 minutes, I used a warm towel to wipe off the creme. (Now I still feel silly about wiping off the creme) My skin feel silky smooth, hydrated and my freckles looked lighter. I’m very surprised by the effects.

So the instruction on the packaging says, either apply on face and wipe off after 20-25 mins, or leave on overnight to deepen the effectiveness of the creme. After which, I always apply a slightly thicker layer and leave on overnight, and I will wake up next morning with hydrated and glowing skin.

I must say the ART Creme Masque costs alot lesser than my usual sleep mask, and the effect is so much better! I’m so not buying my old sleep mask anymore, its expensive, I can’t ditch it, I think I’m going to finish using it. Maybe I will use my old sleep mask after I finish using my ART Creme Masque. Alright, who am I kidding?

Not Surrender, Compromise…

After going through the ‘lessons learnt’ from our last flat renovations, Hubby and I decided that this time we will take the easier route and hire an ID (interior designer). Let the professional suggest ideas, and carry out the actual work. Then we can just sit down, shake leg and a beautiful dream house will manifest.

But then, we have to agree with each other’s ideas first before tell them to an ID. This is roughly what happened.

Steffie: big walk in wardrobe, double the size of my current. Now not enough space already
Hubby: No…. cannot so big.. (give his idea)
Steffie: hack off this wall at the kitchen then cover with glass
Hubby: Sounds difficult to maintain, lets do this instead (share his idea)

The list goes on. So some of you have suggested that I use Surrender on him, so he will surrender to all my ideas. Good idea yeah! Last night, I diffused Surrender in the bedroom, then bounce off some renovation ideas. And the result is hilarious

Steffie: I want Industrial themed house
Hubby: OK… I like that too (sounds promising)
Steffie: This theme, we will need grey flooring. Let’s do cement screeching ok
Hubby: Yes, grey. But no cement screeching (insert his logic on why it is no good). We should re-tile, find a look-alike
Steffie: OK… I am ok with that too.

Aright, it a little different from what I expected, I thought hubby will just say yes to everything I say. Instead, we agreed and compromised to each other’s ideas. Not too bad yeah?
